AARP Shred Fest fights fraud at JCC

AARP Shred Fest is a free shredding event planned on Tuesday, April 26, 9 a.m. to noon, at the Sidney Albert Albany Jewish Community Center, 340 Whitehall Road, Albany. The site opens at 9 a.m. Shredding is from 10 a.m. to noon, or until the truck is full.

Every two seconds someone’s identity is stolen. Shredding confidential documents you no longer need is one good way to protect yourself.  The AARP Fraud Watch Network wants to help. Bring any confidential documents to the Shred Fest and they will be shredded at no charge. Bring up to three bags of paper to be shredded. Spend a few mnutes now and save lots of headaches later.

The event is sponsored by AARP New York and New York State Attorney General Eric Schneiderman.  The Sidney Albert Albany Jewish Community Center has donated their space for this event.
