Adirondack cyclers to gather for 7-day tour
Participants in a seven-day educational cycle tour of part of the Adirondacks, expected to attract 400 cyclists and support staff, will arrive at Smead Park in the town of Hadley on Saturday, Aug. 20.
Stops include Stony Creek Ranch Resort, Thurman, Chestertown, Brant Lake and Hague on the first day out, with an overnight in Ticonderoga.
Cyclists have pre-registered from 33 states including Alaska and three Canadian provinces.
Site teams will arrive on Friday, Aug. 19. Setups will begin on Friday and Saturday morning. Registration for cyclists begins at 1 p.m. Saturday.
