Afternoon tea at Schuylerville re-enactment

Join “Baroness Riedesel” for afternoon tea, refreshments and genteel conversation in a free Revolutionary War re-enactment Saturday, Nov. 26,  from 2 to 5 p.m. , at The Marshall House, 136 Route 4 North, Schuylerville.
In connection with New York State History Month, the experiences witnessed by the German Baroness Frederika will be performed in the same Schuylerville home where she and her three young daughters took refuge as British-led forces, which included her husband, retreated from the Saratoga Battlefield during cannonade by the American forces in the closing days of the Battles of Saratoga.
The home, which has been preserved and restored, had served as a temporary hospital of sorts for the retreating British and German forces.
A docent will answer questions.
