Capital Region Caregiver Coalition in Albany
“Tools for Caregivers: Resources You Can Use When a Senior Relies on You” is the theme of the ninth annual Caregiver Resource Day, an informational day for caregivers, taking place Saturday, April 16, 8 a.m. to noon, at St. Sophia’s Church, 440 Whitehall Road, Albany. Registration is now open and is required by April 11; call Angela at 518-248-3807 or email at firstname.lastname@example.org to register.
The day will provide caregivers with the tools and support needed to best assist loved ones and themselves. Various exhibitors, resource tables with vendors to consult, and workshops will be offered.
There is no charge to attend this program. Through the generous support of sponsors, this community event is offered to community caregivers and providers at no cost.
Capital Region Caregiver Coalition, in collaboration with Albany Guardian Society, Catholic Charities Senior & Caregiver Support Services, ShopRite, and the Anne B. and Leon J. Goldberg Resource Center at Albany Medical Center.
The mission of the Capital Region Caregiver Coalition is “to promote community awareness, sensitivity to, and action around delivery of care to seniors.”
Schedule for the day:
8 a.m. – 8:30 a.m., Registration check-in (doors open at 8 a.m.);
8:30 a.m. – 11:45 a.m., Workshops, Educational Sessions, Vendor Fair;
11:45 a.m. – noon, Raffle Prizes and Give-aways.
