The Audubon Society of the Capital Region open house and annual meeting is planned Sunday, Feb. 22, from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m., at the East Greenbush Community Library, 10 Community Way, East Greenbush.

Learn about ASCR’s education and volunteer conservation efforts for 2015, have some snacks and beverages.

At 1:30 p.m., participate in an art activity as Armando Soto, a professional artist, assists you in drawing owls, hawks and songbirds using basic shapes that he has made.

At 3 p.m., see live birds of prey provided by Wildlife Institute of Eastern New York and hear about their habits and the challenges they face. There will be a more formal talk about the birds on display and a short presentation of the Audubon chapter elections and new board member introductions.
