America’s Ship of State, The U.S.S. Constitution (“Old Ironsides”), is the oldest commissioned warship afloat in the world. Completed in 1797, the frigate was one of the first six ships of the new United States Navy. This will be the last season visitors can tour Constitution at her berth in Charlestown Navy Yard until 2018, as the ship will enter dry dock in early 2015 for scheduled restoration work.
