Bell choir performs at Schenectady church

The Westminster Concert Bell Choir will perform in a free concert on May 14 at 3 p.m.  at the First United Methodist Church, 603 State St., Schenectady.
Members of the choir are students at Rider University’s Westminster Choir College in Princeton, N.J., under the direction of Kathleen Ebling Shaw, who has  conducted handbell sessions around the world.
The choir performs on an eight-octave range of bells and a six-octave range of handchimes, the largest range of bells and chimes in the world.
