Bereavement series to begin March 10
A bereavement support group for anyone coping with the death of a loved one will be held on five consecutive Mondays, beginning March 10, at Jewish Family Services, 877 Madison Ave., Albany. Each 75-minute session will begin at 6 p.m.
Participants will learn coping skills and be given an opportunity to share their experience with others who are struggling. Coping with the death of a loved one is often a traumatic and painful experience, whether the deceased was a parent, a child, a relative, or a friend.
Fee is $15 a session, payable the night of the session. Registration is required and participants should plan on attending all sessions.
Coordinating the sessions is Haven, a partnership between Haven of Schenectady Inc. and Jewish Family Services. Haven serves the emotional and psychological needs of people faced with death, life threatening illness, or life changing transitions/events by providing supportive and educational services.
For more information, or to register, call Haven, 370-1666, or email: firstname.lastname@example.org. Visit http://business.schenectadychamber.org/news/details/haven-to-offer-bereavement-support-group.
