Bowling event benefits Damien Center PAWS program

It’s a  FUN-Raiser for PAWS!! Bowling for PAWS 2016 takes place Sunday, Feb. 21,  11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Playdium Bowling Center, 363 Ontario St,, Albany.
Entrance fee is $25 for individuals or $115 for a team of five.

Fabulous prizes and fun all to help Pets Are Wonderful Support, a program of the Albany Damien Center that helps keep people living with HIV/AIDS and their pets together, when they need each other the most. For information, call

PAWS uses the non-profit crowdsourcing website, Causevox, for the event. Teams or individuals who raise more than the $25 individual registration fee or the $125 team registration fee will be given free admittance to the event.

PAWS has more than  100 members who are provided services like veterinarian care, grooming care, and an emergency pet fund up to $200 annually for a pet owner. There is also a pet food pantry and pet wellness clinics free for all members. When clients are ill or admitted to the hospital, volunteers help by giving “in-home care” for their pets.
