Cabaret dinner fetes orchestra’s 40th year

The Music Company Orchestra will celebrate its 40th anniversary at Cabaret 2014 on Saturday, April 12, at Michael’s Banquet House, Latham.

Cash bar begins at 5:15 p.m. with music by the Red Hot Rhythm Royals. A sit-down dinner will follow with four entree choices.

An MCO concert, featuring concertmistress Heather Chan in Sarasate’s Carmen Fantasy Op.25 will follow. Harpist Ralph Thomas will also entertain.

Silent auction, door prizes and music from the past 40 years are featured. Tickets are $45; reserve by April 1 by calling Rosemary at 399-0706. Visit http://www.mcomusic.org for information.

The Music Company Orchestra is a 60-piece, all-volunteer community orchestra conducted by Dr. Gerald Lanoue, that performs free concerts throughout the Capital District.
