Cancer program for patients at Desmond
Spring to Life, a conference on Hematologic Malignancies will be held Saturday, May 16, at The Desmond Hotel, 660 Albany Shaker Road, Albany.
A health care professional program will be held from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The Cancer Community Event, a patient-centered program, will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. Registration is from 11:30 a.m. to noon; complimentary lunch and exhibits, noon to 1 p.m.; panel discussions, 1 to 4:15 p.m. The free half-day program is for patients and survivors of lymphomas/leukemias and other cancers, and their families, companions, and caregivers.
Patients and their loved ones will join national experts, community oncologist/hematologists, and social workers to share stories and improve understanding at a supportive and informative event.
Spring to Life will help participants:
▪ Understand fear and stress
▪ Cope with loss of control
▪ Share experiences about living and surviving with lymphomas and other cancers
▪ Take better care of yourself and your loved ones
