Cardio specialists share treatment options

Arrhythmia, Murmurs and Heart Valve Defects will be discussed Wednesday, Nov. 9, at the Desmond, 660 Albany Shaker Road, Albany.

Check-in is at 5:30 p.m., networking until 6 p.m., seminar 6 to 7 p.m., questions and answers, 7 p.m.

 Albany Merical Center speakers are Dr. Francis D. Ferdinand, division of Cardiothoractic Surgery, and  David Steckman, M.D., FHRS, Division of Cardiology. Moderator is Claire Hughes, Times Union Health Reporter.

These common conditions, while serious, don’t need to end an active lifestyle. Learn about advances in medicine which have led to new treatment options, including for those who can’t undergo traditional open heart surgery.
