Caregiving and Respite Conference Nov. 10
The New York State Caregiving and Respite Conference will be held Tuesday, Nov. 10, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Desmond Hotel and Conference Center, 660 Albany Shaker Road, Albany.
Admission of $20 includes lunch.
This year’s theme of “Caregiver Experiences Across the Aging & Disability Spectrum” will focus on the universal challenges all caregivers face, while providing practical solutions, new tools and new perspectives to make their lives easier and more fulfilling.
Speakers include Peter Rosenberger on Surviving and Thriving as a Caregiver; Carol Levine on Family Caregivers on the Job; Tom Harner on Lifespan Respite grant; Sheila Warnock on No One Should Have to Go It Alone; and a panel discussion on Volunteer-based Respite Program.
The event will bring caregivers together with the professionals and advocates who support them with the goal of educating and inspiring all who attend.
Co-producers are the state Caregiving and Respite Coalition and Albany Guardian Society.
