Cherry Hill garden temple unveiling planned

Historic Cherry Hill will unveil a prominent feature of its landscape — the “garden temple” Sunday, May 22, at 1 p.m. at the site,  523 1/2 S. Pearl St., Albany.
The garden was recreated by Albany craftsman Peter Leue as a part of the historic site’s ongoing landscape restoration. Leue drew from historic photographs and remnants of the original temple to fashion his replica of this 1930 feature of Emily Rankin’s Colonial Revival garden, according to the historic site.
The event will honor longtime Education Director Rebecca Watrous, who retired last summer after 35 years of service to the museum.
Refreshments will follow the dedication. RSVP at 434-4791. Visit http://www.historiccherryhill.org/news/.
