Christmas market shares Italian traditions

An Italian Christmas Market will be held  Dec. 1 and 2, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Dec. 3, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., as a major fund-raiser for  the  American Italian Heritage Association and Museum, 1227 Central Ave, Albany.

Celebrate the old Italian tradition of the Christmas Market with items made in Italy including  candy, ornaments, scarves, foods, Italian language Christmas cards, wood ceppo, Italian music CDs, cookbooks, aprons, baby bibs, Befana figures, books and crafts, Sicilian carts, estate jewelry, playing cards, greeting cards, calendars, Mediteranean olive oil, homemade baked goods, and special vendors.

An Italian nativity will be a special exhibit. Visit the Market Cafe to enjoy food, beverages and fellowship.
