Craft fair offers fun at Shaker Heritage site
The Shaker Heritage Site Craft Fair will be held Saturday, July 11, and Sunday, July 12, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., on Heritage Lane by the Albany International Airport. The event will be held rain or shine.
Admission is $4 per person. Active military, veterans and persons younger than age 18 will be admitted free. Parking is free. Visit http://www.shakerheritage.org or call 518-456-7890.
Find the perfect item for your home or a gift for a friend at the Shaker Craft Fair. Explore the booths of dozens of local and regional artisans on the beautiful grounds of the Shaker Heritage Society. A Family Activity Tent will host fun hands-on activities for all ages throughout the weekend. Members of the Abenaki First Nation will offer traditional craft activities, displays, and music. Site tours are offered both days at 11:30 and 1:30. Fair food and pie will be available for purchase.
The Sherker Heritage Society of Albany is America’s first Shaker Settlement.
The Shaker Heritage Society is a non-profit organization that offers award winning educational programming about the Shakers, their innovative spirit and their influence on American culture. The Society is actively concerned with preserving the integrity of the Watervliet Shaker National Historic District, site of America’s first Shaker settlement.
