Disaster preparedness course in Albany

A free disaster preparedness class will be held Wednesday, Nov. 18, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.  at Holy Spirit Lutheran Church, 57 Hurlbut St., Albany.

The class will also be held Monday, Nov. 16, at 7 p.m. at the Greenwich Elks Lodge, 130 Bulson Road, Greenwich, Washington County.
The class is offered by New York National Guard troops in conjunction with the state Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Services. With severe weather events becoming more frequent and more extreme, it is more important than ever that New Yorkers are prepared for disasters and have the tools and resources to prepare for any type of disaster, respond accordingly and recover as quickly as possible to pre-disaster conditions.
No registration is required.
