Discussion highlights physical therapy

“Physical Therapy, Is It for Me?” is the topic of a free event on Tuesday, Sept. 27, 5:30 p.m., at The Desmond, 660 Albany Shaker Road, Albany.

Schedule of events: Check-in, 5:30 p.m.; networking, 5:30 to 6 p.m.; seminar, 6 to 7 p.m.; question and answer, 7 p.m.

Albany Medical Center speakers on outpatient physical therapy are Louann Kuntz, PT, DPT, Med, ATC;  and Jason P. Gagnon, PT, DPT, CSCS. Moderator is Claire Hughes, Times Union health reporter.

Nagging pain that prevents you from doing activities you enjoy may call for  relief provided by physical therapy. Albany Med’s physical therapy specialists discuss the various condition that therapy can treat, when it is time to see a physical therapist and what to expect at your first appointment.
