Join a costumed guide to explore the impact of English rule on traditional Dutch family life at the Bronck Museum in Coxsackie on Sunday, June 22.
Tours portraying the Bronck Family at Home in the English Colony of New York after the 1664 takeover, begin at 1 p.m., 2 p.m. and 3 p.m.
Tickets are $7, adults; $3.50, members and children.
Tours take place one Sunday afternoon each month beginning June 22. Other tour dates are July 13, Aug. 17 and Sept. 14.
Refreshments will follow each tour.
Tours will be in the part of the Bronck house believed to have been built in 1685 at a time when the Bronck family was dealing with generational and societal change as the English colonial government tried to consolidate control over outlying areas of old New Netherland. The interior of the wing hasn’t been open to the public; it is being shown as a work in progress while restoration is ongoing.
