Ecologically rich gardens a topic at library

Brighten winter days with thoughts of the gardening season. “Developing Diversity in the Landscape”  
  is the topic of a free talk on  Sunday, Jan. 21, at 3 p.m.,  at Claverack Free Library, 629 NY-23B, Claverack.
 Claverack resident Heather Grimes is a landscape designer who specializes in creating ecologically rich gardens and in restoring degraded woodland and meadow habitats. She will provide tips on making a designed landscape that is resilient and adaptable to the changing ecosystem and climate. Learn how to focus on creating connections to the unique habitats of plant and wildlife communities  that surround us.
