Equine Advocates dinner honors trio

The Equine Advocates 15th Annual Awards Dinner and Charity Auction
will be held Friday, July 29,
at The Canfield Casino in Saratoga Springs.

This year, the event honors   Hall of Fame trainer Jonathan Sheppard who will receive the Ellen & Herbert Moelis Equine Protection Award for his outstanding dedication to the humane treatment of race horses.

Also  to be honored  are Steve and Lisa Caporizzo who will receive the Animal Savior Award for helping thousands of companion animals find loving homes and for their dedication to the prevention of animal abuse, including horse slaughter. Steve Caporizzo is chief meteorologist at News10 ABC and host of The Pet Connection. Lisa Caporizzo is co-founder of Free to Be Me Rescue for Dogs and Cats.

The festivities will start at 6 p.m. with an Open Bar and passed hors d’oeuvres and Silent Auction. Sit-Down Dinner will follow in the Ballroom at 7 p.m.,  catered by Mazzone Hospitality. The Silent Auction will close at 7:50 p.m., and the Awards Presentations will commence at approximately 8 p.m., followed by a Live Auction. Dance to the music of Body & Soul who will rock the night away with their great sounds and a tribute to Prince.

Events this year  celebrate Equine Advocates 20th Birthday and the 15th anniversary of this annual event in Saratoga.
