Exhibit highlights art gift at Hyde

“Transforming The Hyde: The Feibes & Schmitt Gift,” an exhibit  on view in the Hoopes Gallery through Dec. 31, features paintings, drawings, prints, mixed media and sculpture by some of the world’s leading artists of the modern era, like Grace Hartigan, Ellsworth Kelly, Robert Motherwell, David Smith, Bridget Riley and Andy Warhol.
Werner Feibes, right, and the late James Schmitt, Schenectady architects shown in photo above,  transformed the Hyde Collection in Glens Falls with their gift of modern and contemporary art. Come and enjoy selections of this generous legacy, the Hyde’s largest gift of Modern art in 30 years.

The Hyde Collection Art Museum and Historic House is located at 161 Warren St., Glens Falls. Phone, 518-792-1761. For information, visit http://www.hydecollection.org/.
