Family movie nights offered in August

Bring lawn chairs and blankets to the Schenectady County Family Movie Nights series now offering free entertainment in August at various communities around Schenectady County.

There will be music, with local bands giving free performances, activities and free ice cream starting at 7 p.m. The movie will begin at dusk.

Activities are courtesy of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Schenectady and the Scotia Glenville Children’s Traveling Museum.

The schedule includes:

Aug. 8, Niskayuna Town Hall, Niskayuna;

Aug. 15, Esposito Park, Rotterdam;

Aug. 18, Princetown Town Hall, Princetown;

Aug. 22, Robert Shafer Memorial Park, Duanesburg; and

Aug. 29 at miSci, Schenectady. The miSci event will coincide with the last day of miSci’s Lego Robotics Summer Camp.
