Figure Skating Club offers lessons on ice

The Albany Figure Skating Club (AFSC) is offering summer ice skating lessons on Mondays, 5:40 to 7:40 p.m. from July 11 through Aug. 29 at the Albany County Hockey Facility, 830 Albany Shaker Road, Colonie.

The Learn to Skate program welcomes players ages preschool to adult. Skaters will have a 30-minute group lesson and 30 minutes of supervised practice, and they can choose from six- or eight-week options.

The AFSC is also offering a Skating Boot Camp for experienced skaters. This hour-long class is designed for those who want to develop endurance, improve their skills and acquire new skills.
