Free admission weekend at Albany Institute

The Albany Institute of History and Art, 125 Washington Ave., Albany, is decorated and ready for “Home for the Holidays” on Thanksgiving weekend, Friday and Saturday, Nov. 24 and 25,  10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday, Nov. 26, noon to 5 p.m.

Fun activities this weekend include holiday festivities for you and your out-of-town guests: Take your photograph with Santa (noon to 4 p.m. each day).
Discover decorated trees and mantelpieces and admire a special exhibition of miniature dioramas by Joan Steiner, an award-winning illustrator and creator of the Look-Alikes® books.
Make crafts and shop for handmade items and one-of-a-kind gifts in the Museum Shop and savor  treats from Crisan Cafe.
Explore the current exhibitions.
