Get on your dancing shoes for an Albany Shindig
Young and old, singles and families, get on your dancing shoes.
The next “Albany Shindig!,” in the series presented through the Dance Flurry, is taking place Friday, March 18, at 7 p.m. at the First Congregational Church, 405 Quail St., Albany. The event is for dancers and, particularly, non-dancers alike.
Admission is $7, suggested donation. $2, younger than 12. Fiddler Colin McCoy and pianist Alan Thomson are featured in the part concert-part dance that starts with a music set and ends with a communal hoofing, called by Paul Rosenberg for people who can learn the dances in a minute or so.
The final dance of the season will be April 15 at 7 p.m., with Tamarack playing.
