Hamilton Weekend at Schuyler Mansion
Celebrate Hamilton Weekend July 14 to 16 at The Schuyler Mansion State Historic Site, 32 Catherine St., Albany. Join fellow Hamilton history enthusiasts for a series of performances, exhibits and presentations that relate to life and achievement of Alexander Hamilton. Original Schuyler and Hamilton artifacts and letters will be on display throughout the weekend. The River Ramblers and Alexander Hamilton Awareness Society will take part.

Friday, July 14, 6 p.m.: Talk “Alexander Hamilton: The Man vs. the Musical, ” House Admission: $5; 7 p.m., Painting Unveiling: The first-ever painting depicting George Washington, Philip Schuyler, and Alexander Hamilton together be on public display for the first time at the Schuyler Mansion. The painting is by Len Tantillo and on loan from a private collector; 7:15 to 8 p.m., Hamilton Themed Open-House at the Schuyler Mansion.
Saturday, July 15, house admission, $5:
1 p.m., “Eliza at the Schuyler Mansion”: AHA Society Vice-President Nicole Scholet de Villavicencio will speak on the life of Elizabeth Schuyler Hamilton, specifically on her time at the Schuyler Mansion, her wedding to Alexander Hamilton and her and Alexander’s convalescence from yellow fever there; 2 p.m., “Hamilton: His Life and Times in Story and Song” by the Hudson River Ramblers; 3 p.m., “Reading of Alexander and Eliza’s Love Letters” at the Schuyler Mansion; 2 to 5 p.m., Hamilton Themed Open-House at the Schuyler Mansion;
Sunday, July 16, $5, 10 a.m., “Hamilton’s Albany” walking tour: Join a walking tour starting at Albany First Church, 110 North Pearl St., the historic Dutch Reform Church where the Schuylers attended and where Alexander Hamilton and Elizabeth Schuyler Hamilton’s marriage was recorded. The walking tour will stretch one mile and end at the Albany Institute of History and Art, where visitors will be able to view Hamilton related documents and objects. Hamilton on the Hudson is a reccuring program held by the Alexander Hamilton Awareness Society (the AHA Society) to educate about Alexander Hamilton’s extensive presence in the Hudson River Valley of New York. Hamilton on the Hudson 2017 is being held at historic sites in the Mid and Upper Hudson Valley from Thursday, July 13, through to Saturday, July, as part of CelebrateHAMILTON 2017.
