Hidden Garden Tour visits Troy backyards
Troy’s popular annual Hidden Garden Tour invites the public into the private realms of city dwellers Thursday, May 26, 4 to 7:30 p.m. Cost is $10.
Now in its 17th year, the Hidden Garden Tour is a fundraiser to benefit Troy’s Prospect Park, located on Congress Street in Troy. The tour will be held rain or shine. Last year, the event attracted a record attendance of more than 500 participants.
The self-guided walking tour features approximately 30 private backyard gardens in the Historic Sage College, Washington Park and adjoining neighborhoods of downtown Troy.
Tickets are available in advance online at http://troygarden.brownpapertickets.com or on tour day at the check-in table at the Russell Sage College parking lot.
Free event parking is provided at the Russell Sage College lot, located at First and Division streets. Additional free parking is available in lots farther south on First Street.
The Hidden Garden Tour map is also a ticket for free light refreshments, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., at Carmen’s Cafe, 198 First St.
