Historical play examines vote crusaders

“The Stone that Started the Ripple,” a humorous yet historical representation of a reunion of the women who initiated the crusade for women’s right to vote, will be held Wednesday,  Aug. 26, at 7 p.m., at Filene Hall at Skidmore College, 815 N. Broadway, Saratoga Springs. Tickets are $15.

Using their actual words from the 1800s, Susan B. Anthony, Elizabeth Cady Stanton, Sojourner Truth, and Lucretia Mott offer commentary on the status of women’s issues today. The play is written by local author Pat Nugent. All proceeds benefit the League of Women Voters of Saratoga County.

Order tickets online at http://www.lwvsaratoga.org or write a check to Saratoga County League of Women Voters and mail to c/o Mary Lou Classen, 4 Blue Spruce Lane, Ballston Lake NY 12019. Phone 877-8874.
