Holiday book events raise library funds
The 13th annual “Good Books for Good Works” will take place Wednesday, Nov. 15, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., at the Lincoln Community Elementary School, 2 South Robinson St., Schenectady. The evening of holiday book suggestions and a sale will raise funds for the school library.
The school has an enrollment of 360 students, pre-K through grade five.
Hosting the event are The Woman’s Club of Albany and The Book House of Stuyvesant Plaza. At 6 p.m., the Book House staff will present winter reading suggestions and holiday gift ideas for all ages as well as reviews of their favorite adult and children’s books.
A portion of all book sales will be donated to the school for the purchase of new books. Light refreshments will be provided by the Woman’s Club.
