Hoosick Falls, battles of 1866 are talk topic

The 1866 invasion of Ontario, Canada, and how it relates to the Hoosick Falls St. Patrick’s Day Parade, is the topic of a talk by local historian Mike Russert on Monday, March 10, at the Cheney Library, 73 Classic St., Hoosick Falls.

Also to be examined will be the background of the invasion, the organization of the Irish Army of Liberation and the battles fought in the summer of 1866.
