HVCC ice rink is open for holiday skating

 Public skating is under way at the Conway Ice Rink at Hudson Valley Community College, Troy,  for the 2017-18 season through March 11, from 4 to 6:15 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays and from noon to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday. Extended holiday hours will be from noon to 2 p.m. and from 4 to 6:15 p.m. through Dec. 29. The ice rink will be closed  Dec. 31 and Jan. 1 and when Hudson Valley classes are cancelled.
The 18,000-square-foot rink, located in the McDonough Sports Complex, offers recreational skating for all ages.
Admission is $5, $3 for children younger than 12. Hudson Valley students can skate for free with a valid student ID, and admission for Hudson Valley faculty, staff and alumni who present a current Hudson Valley ID or membership card is $2. Groups of 10 or more can receive a $1 per person discount with advance notice. Skate rentals at the skate shop cost $3 a pair.
