Irish museum shares mirth, memory

“Come Into the Parlor: Irish Mirth, Myth and Memory” will be presented at 7 p.m. on Friday, March 13,  at the Irish American Heritage Museum, 370 Broadway, Albany.

Stories, fine fellowship, and fun at the museum will recall the spirit and  tradition of the Seanachie, traditional Irish storytellers who carried stories and news between hamlets and families for the price of a warm meal.

Performers will be Marni Gillard, a local storyteller and author (pictured), and Mary Murphy, a local writer and storyteller.

Cost will be $10, $5 for museum members; $25 for a family four pack.
