Kingston Stockade focus of exhibit
“Kingston’s Stockade: New Netherlands’ Third City” will be presented Feb. 8 at 7 p.m. at the Senate House Museum, 296 Fair St., Kingston.
The program on the site’s new exhibit will be presented by Travis Bowman, curator at the state Bureau of Historic Sites in Waterford. He will discuss the research and translations that were conducted in preparation for the new exhibit.
Some of the topics to be covered include slavery, the early economy and Dutch-Indian relations.
After his talk, Travis will give visitors a tour around the exhibit, providing further details and facts about the objects.

The Senate House State Historic Site in Kingston is an historic treasure dating back to before the Revolutionary War period. Built in 1676, the house became a key location in New York State’s history as it became the seat of New York’s new government.
