Learn about maple production for beginners

Cornell Cooperative Extension of Columbia and Greene Counties  offers  a program, Maple Production for the Beginner,  at the Agroforestry Resource Center, 6055 Route 23, Acra, on Feb. 13, 9:30 am. to 12:30 p.m. Sap house and sugar bush tours   in the Siuslaw Model Forest will be included. Fee is $10.

The program is for anyone interested in learning the art of maple syrup. Many topics will be covered including tree selection, tapping and storing.
