Macy’s offers charity shopping event

Macy’s ninth annual “Shop For A Cause” charity shopping event on Aug. 23 will be a fundraiser for local non-profits.

Customers at Macy’s in Colonie Center, Albany, can participate in this year’s event by purchasing shopping passes for $5 each from the Junior League of Albany, which will keep 100 percent of every shopping pass it sells.

The Junior League of Albany Inc. promotes volunteerism.

The national event has raised more than $44 million for charities across the country since 2006.
