Native plants vs. invasive plants is talk topic

Native plants are hot; those that misbehave are not!

Cornell Cooperative Extension of Rensselaer County will offer the class, “Why Natives and Not Invasives,” on Tuesday, March 31, at 7 p.m. at the Extension office in Troy.

This presentation will cover the ecological, economical, and human health harm of invasive species. Specific species will be highlighted along with their impacts, and examples of native alternatives to plant will be shared.

Presenter Laurel R. Gailor is the Capital / Mohawk Partnership for Regional Invasive Species Management (PRISM) coordinator.

Program fee is $6 per person. To register,  call Marcie at (518) 272-4210 or email mmp74@cornell.edu/.
