New Baltimore architecture is lecture topic

New Baltimore’s architecture will be the subject of Town Historian Ted Hilscher’s lecture and slide show at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 15, at Town Hall, 3809  Greene County Route 51, Hannacroix.

“New Baltimore was known for much of its history as a Hudson River shipping point and shipbuilding center, with a rich agricultural countryside producing fruit, milk and hay,” Hilscher said.

Architectural features of many historic structures that may be easy to miss will be discussed, including a look at local stone houses dating from the 1700s.

The presentation is free and open to the public. Phone 756-6671 or email clerk@townofnewbaltimore.org.
