Nurture nature exhibit opens in Hudson

Carrie Haddad Gallery on Warren Street in Hudson presents “Nurture Nature.” an exhibit whose theme revolves around nature and the effects on it of human influence, beginning Thursday, June 5, and running through Sunday, July 13. There will be an artists’ reception Saturday, June 7, from 6 to 8 p.m.

On exhibit will be photographs by Jerry Freedner , who supports the work of the Columbia Land Conservancy and Scenic Hudson. His “Tribute to the Farmers” resulted in a 35-photograph series. He also produced a book of photographs from this project  which may be viewed and ordered at the show. A portion of the profits from the farm field photos and all of the book sale profits will be donated to The Columbia Land Conservancy and Scenic Hudson.

Also featured will be new paintings by Jeff Briggs and works by Kim McLean. Part of the exhibit will be in memoriam to Lanie Cecula, a multi-media artist and close friend of Haddad.

Gallery hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday, noon to 5 p.m. Sunday. For more information, call 828-1915 or visit http://www.carriehaddadgallery.com
