Olana workshop explores personal histories

Join Rebecca Keller for a daylong workshop exploring  personal histories, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, July 1, in the Coachman’s House Gallery near Olana’s Visitor Center in Hudson.

“Excavating History” admission is $70 ($65 for members). Participants are asked to bring a bagged lunch and some memorabilia. Everyone will receive a shadowbox. To register, go to http://www.eventbrite.com/.

Keller teaches art history, theory, criticism and sculpture at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.  She will lead participants through a process of turning personal histories into creative works of writing and visual art.

The workshop will generate ideas and materials for creative work beyond the program, for both professional and novice artists and writers.

For information, go to http://www.olana.org/.
