Olympic warmup at Sch’dy Curling Club

Learn fundamentals of the Olympic sport of curling on Friday, Feb. 23, 6 to 9 p.m., and Saturday, Feb. 24, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Schenectady Curling Club, 1084 Balltown Road, Schenectady.  

A review of the rules, history and science of curling will be offered. 

Advanced registration is encouraged through eventbrite; cost is  $12 for ages 13 and older (free, ages 6 to 12  when accompanied by an adult).

Walk-ins are welcome the day of the event, as space permits. Registration at the door will cost $15 per participant for ages 13 and older.

 Wear warm, comfortable, loose-fitting clothing and gloves. Layers are best. The temperature on the ice is about 40 degrees F. Bring clean, rubber-soled athletic shoes to change into. Curling equipment will be available for your use.
