Parkinson’s unit explores meditative therapy

The Young Onset Parkinson’s Disease (YOPD) support group will meet Saturday, April 15, 2 to 4 p.m., at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 510 Albany Shaker Road, Loudonville. The meeting is free and patients of all ages and caregivers are welcome to attend and learn about Parkinson’s disease. For information, call (518) 371-0448 after 3 p.m.

Guest speaker Steve Cosomano, of Albany Complementary Health,  located at 2021 Western Ave., Albany, will share information on qi gong, an Asian meditative practice. 

Attendees will have the opportunity to network and to participate in stretches and meditations of the practice. 

April is Parkinson’s Awareness Month.
