Partnering with doctor in Alzheimer series
An Alzheimer Caregivers Series will be held at the Guilderland Public Library, starting with “Partnering with Your Doctor,” on June 9, from 3 to 4:30 p.m.
The program discusses how to make your doctor visits satisfying and productive. Presenter is Erica Salamida, program manager for the Alzheimer’s Association NENY. The discussion will present suggestions on how to make your doctor visits as productive as possible.
Appropriate audience is people with early-stage Alzheimer’s Disease, as well as friends and family members who care for and/or interact with people who have Alzheimer’s disease and related forms of dementia.

On Monday, June 16, at 3 p.m., “How to Have a Good Visit” gives helpful tips about visiting a loved one in a long-term care facility. Learn about forming realistic expectations, planning what to do during visits, and making visits enjoyable for all. Registration required.
