Picnic, quartet aid Hudson homeless felines

“Picnic for the Stars,” a benefit for the Animalkind homeless feline shelter on Warren Street, Hudson, will take place on Friday, Aug. 25, at 7 p.m., at the Historic Philipps Apple Orchard, 270 NY-9H, 
Claverack. For more information about the event, call 518-822-8643.

Enjoy a romantic a night at Historic Philipps Apple Orchard.
String quartet, classical music, a picnic basket with cheese, bread, nuts, humus, fresh picked apples, wine, beverages, candles and a flashlight. Bring a blanket or chair and join astonomer Michael O’Gara who will bring five telecopes to observe the sky, moon and stars. A private “at-your-home sesssion” with Michael O’Gara will be auctioned off. Tickets are $100/per person, $150/per couple.
