Races, compassion walk at Maple Ski Ridge

Maple Ski Ridge holds its fourth annual Run the Ridge 5k and 2k “Mud, Trail and Obstacle Run” Saturday, July 18, at 2725 Mariaville Road, Schenectady.

The challenging obstacles will include water, mud, high and low obstacles, barbed wire and fire on a course designed by local military runners.

There will also be a Compassion Walk at noon for locals with disabilities.

Each year, challenges are added to and redesigned, ready to offer every challenger a new experience every year. This year’s events are dedicated to raising funds and awareness for Veterans Count a program of Easter Seals and the Albany Vet Center.
