Races in Castleton to benefit food pantry

The Clove Run races will be held Saturday, Aug. 16, in the village of Castleton-on-Hudson.

There will be a children’s 1-mile family fun run, a 5K walk, a 5K running race and a 10-mile race all starting at 8:30 a.m. from the Castleton Elementary School, 80 Scott Ave.

Fees are $27.50 per race, except family fun run is $7 per person.

The awards ceremony will begin after the races, along with lunch and live rock ‘n’ roll music by local musicians at the Castleton Elementary School.

The race is being sponsored by Castleton Road Racing Commission, in conjunction with the Castleton-Schodack Kiwanis Club.

Proceeds will benefit the Anchor food pantry in Castleton. Race participants are encouraged to bring canned/non-perishable food items items for donation to the Anchor.
