Ravel is topic of library listening party

The monthly Listening Parties  have returned for the fall season starting  Thursday, Oct. 19, at 7  p.m., at the Bethlehem Public Library, 451 Delaware Ave.,  Delmar. Listen to and talk about Maurice Ravel, a modern French composer whose music fused Spanish, jazz and baroque influences. Bethlehem librarian Michael Farley is discussion facilitator.

The meetings will be held monthly through June 2018, except for December, to listen to selections from classic albums while discussing the life and music of great musicians. Join fellow music lovers and share your impressions and memories, rediscover milestones in music history and talk about the artists who have shaped the musical landscape.

Drop in for one session or come to all sessions; everyone is welcome. Visit http://www.bethlehempubliclibrary.org or call 518-439-9314.
