Saratoga Chowderfest celebrates 20 years

The 20th annual Chowderfest in Saratoga Springs will take place Saturday, Feb. 3, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.,  throughout downtown Saratoga. More than 80 restaurants and businesses will be offering chowders.

Presented by the Saratoga Convention & Tourism Bureau and DeCrescente Distributing Company, Saratoga Chowderfest features live music, family-friendly activities and, of course, a wide variety of chowders. No dog chowder will be served; pet owners are encouraged to leave pets at home.

Visitors pay $1 for chowder samples and may vote for their favorites. For information and participants at the family-friendly, fun event, visit discoversaratoga.org/ChowderFest or to participate, call 518-584-1531

No tickets are necessary; Pick up a ballot form at any participating establishment. Vote for your favorite online at DiscoverSaratoga.org/Vote/, by 5 p.m. OR vote on the ballot and drop it off at Saratoga Springs Heritage Area Visitor Center or Saratoga Springs City Center. Awards ceremony will be held at the  Saratoga Springs Heritage Area Visitor Center at 6:30 p.m.

Two shuttles will be available during Chowderfest from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.:

Shuttle from Wilton Mall (near the Dick’s entrance) to High Rock Avenue  in front of Hampton Inn;
Shuttle from the CDTA parking area at Saratoga Casino Hotel to Congress Park.
The Fingerpaint lot on Division Street will be the designated drop-off and pick-up location for all ride sharing. Double parking to drop off or pick up passengers will not be permitted.
