Science Festival Expo Days at miSci

Science Festival of the Capital Region Expo Days are under way 

through  Sunday, Nov. 13, at miSci (Museum of Innovation and Science), 15 Nott Terrace Heights, Schenectady.
Walk into a world of virtual reality, drones, and flight simulation with hands-on activities, workshops, and demos by STEM Organizations of the Capital Region. The multi-day celebration will be jam-packed with events for visitors age zero to infinity. Admission is adults, $10.50;  seniors 65 and older, $9; children ages 3 to 12, $7.50. Wednesday, Nov. 9:

4:30 to 8 p.m.- STEM Summit –  For a free STEM Professional Development workshop for all educators, join miSci, WMHT, the Dudley Observatory, Fox Vision Development Center, NYS Network for Youth Success, the Challenger Learning Center, and the San Francisco Exploratorium.
Thursday, Nov. 10:

9 a.m. to 5 p.m.  – Science Expo
11 a.m. to 1 p.m., and 2:30 to 4:340 p.m. – Author’s Corner – Enjoy STEM books read by your favorite local authors. Alison Formento, Elizabeth Zunon, Barbara Ann Mojica, and more will swing by miSci to do live readings and book signings of their newest books.
3 p.m.- Special Senior Science Day
6 to 8 p.m.- Teen Science Cafe
Friday, Nov. 11:

9 a.m. to 5 p.m. – Science Expo
10:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. – Bubble Trouble
5:30 to 10 p.m. – MiScience Cafe: Game On (21+) – Starting in November, miSci will host miScience Café: Game On – the first in a series of 21+ events. November’s theme is the Science of Brewing. George De Piro, Chief Brewing Officer at Druthers, will join miSci for a Science Café talk and Q&A. Albany Distillery, Druthers, Home Brew Table, Rare Form Brewing and more will be on site with drinks.
Following the Science Café talk, team up with new and old friends for some serious board gaming. And make sure to stop by the planetarium for a showing of “The Real Housewives of the Milky Way,” a scandalous chronicle of the real stories behind the celebrities of the night sky.

Enjoy this entire, extravagant night for the cost of regular admission.
Saturday, Nov. 12:

9 a.m. to 5 p.m. – Science Expo
11 a.m.: New York Wildlife Rescue Center
5 to 9 p.m. – Star Party
Sunday, Nov. 13:

noon to 5 p.m.  – Science Expo
