Story Circle celebrates ‘Telebration! 2015’

The Story Circle at Proctors will celebrate 20 years with a presentation of “Tellabration! 2015: Unexpected Kindness.”
The performance of contemporary and traditional stories for adults and teens will be held Sunday, Nov. 15, at 2 p.m. in the GE Theatre at Proctors, 432 State St., Schenectady,  featuring multiple storytellers and emcee Karen Pillsworth.
Tellabration! is a project of the National Storytelling Network. Money raised will be used to underwrite storytelling events in the Capital Region.  Door prizes will be offered and refreshments  served; $2 from each ticket will be donated to the Schenectady Inner City Ministry Summer Lunch program which feeds 850 children each day. Tickets are  $12, adults; $10 groups of eight or more; $6, students. Call Proctors Box Office at 346-6204.

Each year in November, in 200 locations around the world, people gather together to share stories at programs called Tellabration. Proceeds from  previous Tellabration programs have funded 90 storytelling events at libraries, museums and other locations in the Capital District.
